We spent our last day in the Hudson Valley in Beacon. We visited Dia Beacon - a modern art museum in an old Nabisco box factory. I admit I don't always get the art here, but I have always enjoyed visiting. Part of the appeal is the space itself - I love the brick and windows and light in the repurposed factory. The Torqued Ellipses are always my favorite.
Gavin had asked if I could take some updated photos of him and we planned to meet at Long Dock Park an hour before sunset. We had some time to kill before meeting him and got a bite to eat in Beacon, checked out the new cat cafe, and popped in some other stores. It was a nice evening at Long Dock and it was fun to take pictures there again (quite different from where I usually take portraits at the Grand Canyon!).
