Our trip originated in Las Vegas and we planned a chill first day since both of us were up early for travel and we figured we would be tired. I picked up Daniela at the airport and we headed to Shanghai Plaza where we got drinks at 85C Bakery then headed next door to China Mama when they opened for lunch. We shared the pan fried pork buns and the sizzling beef in black pepper sauce - the beef dish was our favorite (very tasty). In the afternoon we hung around Fremont Street, which is always good for entertainment, and tried the donuts at Pinkbox (also tasty). We checked into the Horseshoe in the early evening then walked around the Strip to admire the Bellagio Conservatory, watch a fountain show, scope out the Art-o-mat vending machines, and grab a slice of pizza at Secret Pizza in Cosmo. We called it an early night so we could get an earlier start in the morning for our hike at Valley of Fire. Commencing Daniela’s Southwest Tour!
