The last leg of our trip was five nights in Colorado. We stayed the first night in Westminster to visit family and went to a fun park where the kids played adventure golf, raced go-karts, did the maze, and braved the ropes course. We spent the next morning at the rec center swimming and having lunch, then were on our way to Gunnison. We arrived too late to see any of Black Canyon that night, but stopped the next morning to see the viewpoints, check out the visitor's center, and do the easy hike to Walter Point. Neat spot!

After visiting Black Canyon we continued to Ouray where we would stay three nights in an AirBnb with friends. When Norah and I got to Ouray our first order of business was signing up for a jeep tour, then we checked out downtown (cute) and had dinner with Ryan and Alex at the Ouray Brewing Company. The next day we did a six hour jeep tour with Colorado West Jeeps over three passes (Corkscrew, Hurricane, and California) to the mining ghost town of Animas Forks. Wow! We LOVED the tour - probably my highlight for the trip. The scenery was incredible.

The rest of the time in Ouray we just kicked around - met Alex at some of the race aid stations to see Ryan come through, walked around downtown, and soaked in the hot springs (this was a favorite - they also had water slides and an obstacle course). After Ryan finished his race on our last morning, we had breakfast and Norah and I set out for our final drive home. We stopped at Four Corners and Monument Valley and then finally we were at our new home - hard to believe! It was a fantastic month making our way from New York to the Grand Canyon and now we are ready for what this next chapter brings. Ready for our Grand Adventure!
