After an inauspicious start to our trip involving a dropped axle from a garbage truck, a busted tire, and a tire purchase on the way to the airport, we successfully made it to Cape Cod. We went straight to Skaket Beach to walk the tidal flats. We walked from Skaket Beach to Rock Harbor to check out the Clam Trees. These trees are installed to mark the deepest path for boats coming into the tidal harbor. The trees were nicknamed the 'Clam Trees' after clammers would discard small clams near their bases. After a much needed nap at Skaket Beach Motel and dinner at the knack, we returned to Rock Harbor at sunset for a beautiful evening by the water.
