The first week of our vacation was based in Cooke City, a tiny town nestled in the Beartooth Mountains, five miles from the northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It's a perfect base for fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, and exploring the Beartooth Mountains and Yellowstone. Highlights of the week included Norah catching her first trout, hiking Bald Peak, Steve's overnight trip to Aero Lakes, seeing a bear and bison outside our cabin, and in general the beautiful scenery and wildflowers of the Beartooths.
