Looks like a plant, but this is an animal. They do walk around, and they are all over the place, in a huge variety of colours. They are very clingy, kind of like velcro, and curl up into balls when they are not feeding. Like anemones, there are some critters (like some fish and shrimp) that live in the middle of the crinoid where no one else can get at them.
