This image was inspired by the Ansel Adams photo of the white rose on driftwood ( http://www.anseladams.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1971). I was trying for the same sense of texture. On the other hand: "white rose and driftwood" versus "rusty nail and peeling paint" is probably not the inspiration he was hoping for ;)
