Spring is finally beginning to slowly approach, which means all the snow we have gotten this year is starting to melt. It can melt in some odd ways. This photo shows all that appears of an evergreen plant: once a bit of it shows, the dark colour of the needles creates a local warm spot, causing a higher melting rate around the plant. Thus, plants tend to melt themselves free more quickly than just piles of snow.
Water is really cool stuff -- I am always amazed by some of the things it does. Stay tuned for more odd melting tomorrow.
