This is the view from the Tidioute Allegheny River Overlook in the Allegheny National Forest in NW PA, one of my favorite parts of the country. The trees there are old and tall, the forests are thick and moist and gorgeous. Lots of wonderful hiking trails and quaint little towns full of friendly people. I have canoed down this river many times, stopping at islands along the way.
