Egypt is indeed a country living in both old and modern times. Local people's faces never change thru the ages, camel attendees and women vendors in Giza have strikingly similar features to those ancient figures in the Cairo Museum. And it's amazing to see the contrast on the country road from Cairo to Saqqara, filled with Toyotas and similar donkey carts used by Egyptians long before USA was born.
