Salmonier Nature Park is a provincial park that serves as a sanctuary for abandoned or injured birds and mammals in a spacious natural setting. The animals are in large natural enclosures scattered along the park’s boardwalk trail. This allows visitors to see animals that are part of their natural surroundings and also encourages visitors to feel they are part of these surroundings. The Park is located 12 km south of the Trans Canada Highway in the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland.
