On April 24 I photographed a sandhill crane in Kensington Park, Milford, Michigan: http://www.pbase.com/drjaysel/image/77716131 .
Last Thursday I returned to Kensington and was surprised to see two adult sandhill cranes in the grassy area beside the
parking lot near the nature center. They seemed unconcerned with a mother and two children sitting perhaps 20 feet
from them. I subsequently took these shots at a close distance. Later they walked across the parking lot and
disappeared into a thicket. The red crown on the head indicates that this is an adult.
