Bob Thomas Underwater Gallery

I began diving in 1972 and the fascination continues. I have spent 25 years in a state of total frustration with my underwater photography either the sea was dirty and I saw lots or it was clean and I only saw what I had already shot, or else I set the camera wrong or over/under exposed (all manual)or had the wrong lens on. Nice pictures! I got the same issues as you do. Only the recent availability of limitless digital "film" lets you take hundreds hoping for that one good one.

Hi Tony

I use a Nikon F3 with motor drive in a Aquasea housing with an extended faceplate and a wide angle dome with twin flashes. Generally use velvia or Kodak 64 with some provia.

I have nikkor lenses: 105 macro, 60mm macro and 20mm wide angle.I will try the 35-105 zoom I bought at the camera club a few weeks ago and see what I get with it.
