Elfriede Wickord, my 96 year old grandmother, has always been passionate about gardening...specifically flowers. Even today she has a small rectangular plot of land just outside her flat in Surrey where she tends her flower garden with loving care. I am so blessed to have this humble soul in my life and have witnessed true grace in the form of this lovely lady. I was also blessed to live in the same household with my grandparents through most of my childhood so needless to say the garden surrounding our home was always adorned with beautiful flowers. I often watched how she tended to her flowers with such heart-felt attention and I know now that my love for flowers came directly from my grandmother.
