City Snowy

Wetaskiwin, Alberta

This owl lives with in the city limits of Wetaskiwin. I have seen him many times on light poles faceing the fields beside. I have seen this one make three dives for mice so far..This one is very trusting and fun to watch. I know I will have more encounters with him. This is one of the smallest snowy I have seen.

He's lovely, we rely on the foxes and barn owls to keep the mouse population down. We can hear the owls but don't see them.
