Fort Etheir is on the orginal site. Not sure how much is orginal, but if you look you can see the bottom is rebuilt. It is located from Wetaskiwin. 5 miles north on highway 2a, half mile east and about 1 mile north.{on the Lucas Farm} The purpose was that in the early 1900's it was used as a stop off point when the stage coachs made their runs from Calgary to Edmonton. At than time their was fear of the natives and hold up gangs.
