This is the Oirginal "Hills Of Peace" upon which Wetaskiwin got its name...On top of this hill was where the peace pipe was smoked between the Blackfeet and Cree Indians. I have found over 400 Indian artifacts that were donated to the Wetaskiwin Museum with the expert help of Stan Renyolds. Wetaskiwin maintains walking paths all through out the area. Two years ago in Peace Hills Park we had the first Indian Pow Wow. It was quite a site..Wetaskiwin should be Nick Named the "Jewel" of central Alberta.
