An antique 19th Century tsakli painting in mineral pigments depicting within a burst of flames and atop its own lotus throne, the head of a horse - the symbol which 'crowns' Hayagriva (Tamdin) the 'horse necked' god who is a Tantric Protector. His wrathful attitudes and symbolic weapons are directed only against the enemies of the dharma, and therefore they symbolically defend all true believers who know that these grim aspects of their protectors is not directed against themselves, and they need have no fear.
