An antique, 19th Century or earlier (much earlier) tsakli mineral pigments depicting, within a green mandorla , an offering goddess in the position of Royal Ease, (rajalilasana) holding in her left hand a flaming cluster of wish fulfilling jewels, representing the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, her right hand in the gesture of dispelling fear. The gentle faced goddess has her hair tied in a chignon within a golden scrolling crown, behind a 5 pointed diadem with bodhisattva ornaments and a red silk ribbon tied behind the crown. She wears a red dhoti with a saffron coloured over skirt tied around her tiny waist with a red silk ribbon, a saffron-lined green celestial scarf floating gracefully about her as she sits enthroned on a large cushion. This tsakli has been re-lined. 9.5 x 10.9cm
