An antique tsakli painting, Tibet, 19th Century or earlier depicting, within a violent burst of flames, a dynamic Simhavaktra Dakini dancing atop a prostrate being on her colourful lotus throne, holding a chopper and an inverted skull filled with matter, a khatvanga beneath her arm. She wears a flayed skin about her shoulders as well as her tiger skin dhoti. A garland of severed heads, each with an individual face and a skull diadem completes the macabre spectacle. 11.2 x 13.5cm
