An antique 19th Century or earlier tsakli painting in mineral pigments depictingwithin a burst of roiling flames, a blue-bodied, wrathful, winged Heruka deity in yabyum with his Sakti. The deity with 3 faces, 6 arms and 4 legs holds aloft variously a trisula, damaru, viscera and a conch from which a diminutive Khyung-headed, veryically half red and half white winged creature emerges (making this a Bon image?)His principal hands hold a dorje and a kepala. He wears a skull diadem , bone ornaments and a tiger skin dhoti aswell as a garland of severed heads, while his Sakti wears a skull diadem and a leopard skin dhoti. He tramples upon a blue yak atop a figure, with a supine figure beneath his other foot. 2 lines text to the reverse. 8.9 x 10cm
