23rd April 2017

Dad: we hope you all had an enjoyable Easter holiday!
Pooch's second batch of test results came back a few days ago, and it was confirmed that he has
stage 3 chronic kidney disease (CKD). Unfortunately CKD is progressive and can't be cured. Pooch is
on a special diet now and on meds to reduce the work his kidneys have to do and hopefully slow the
progression of the CKD down as much as possible. He seems to enjoy his new diet, which is lucky!
Here he is in the garden with me earlier today... he wanted to be off for a snooze and was a bit
reluctant to pose for a photo. :-)
Haircut day tomorrow! :-)

If there is one certain thing it's that Pooch has been a lucky boy to have carers like you and Mum, Ev. May he live in comfort for the rest of his days.

Haircut for Pooch I imagine?
I'm pleased that you are able to help Pooch with diet and all the care you and Poochmum lavish on him.
Keep the tail up Pooch!

A very nice portrait. Hopefully, Pooch is not too fussy with the medication.
