21st November 2009

Friends, the rain has been falling and falling and this stream is much larger and faster-flowing than normal.
I wonder what Big Pike is up to today? Do you think he's in there somewhere?

Dad: today's entry is dedicated to PC Bill Barker of Cumbria Constabulary who died saving the lives of others in yesterday's floods.

That's so sad,Ev. My heart goes out to his wife & young family. What we are seeing on the news there & here are opposite ends of natures scale. 80 fires burning in New South Wales today & scorching temperatures...sure makes life hard.

Keep away Pooch !
So sad Ev, the worst news of that poor brave Policeman, helping others.

A nice calm scene for your tribute.

This is a very nice dedication and tribute. I was so sorry to hear about him. It was on the news here in Texas too!

This is a very special dedication Pooch...so don't you go falling in too or you might become fish food!
Chris21-Nov-2009 21:43
Suggest you don't go swimming!

Watch out, Pooch! You don´t want to end as pike food.
Poor people in Cumbria. It´s been raining for a week or two here, but not that heavy.

It does look very interesting down there Pooch. I am so sad for the family of the policeman who lost his life. The floods in Cumbria were even the lead story on ABC News here in USA this morning.

Dont get your head stuck Pooch!

Heavy rain in UK, Is it a little bit unusual in this time of year?

He's probably sheltering under a tree to stay dry.
