Gallery Forty: Expressing the force and beauty of moisture in motion

The natural world abounds in opportunities to photograph water, steam, and mist falling, rising or flowing. The keys to photographing moisture in motion are determined by how we exercise our choices in light, time, space, and context – just as for other subjects. In this gallery, you will see examples of such moving moisture as waterfalls, cascades, geysers, steam from hot springs, and man made water features. Although the subjects all have moving moisture in common, the meaning changes from image to image. It all depends on how we choose to interpret motion and convey beauty.

I present this gallery in "blog" style.. A large thumbnail is displayed for each image, along with a detailed caption explaining how I intended to express my ideas. If you click on the large thumbnail, you can see it in its full size, as well as leave comments and read the comments of others. I hope you will be able to participate in the dialogue. I welcome your comments, suggestions, ideas, and questions, and will be delighted to respond.
