This species is also found at Wells Savanna, but the few plants I did find
were not photogenic so this one and the next two are from Tram Road in Duplin County.
That was my next stop on this fieldtrip. Tram Road had more than a dozen blooming
plants. I was impressed with the size and quality of the flowers too. Despite the hot,
dry weather, the orchids were doing quite well.
