This is the deep vertical gorge with a narrow passage below just above Exit Falls. I'm
looking downriver towards the top of the falls. We are about 20ft or so above the river.
As Rich mentioned in his TR, our goal was reach the falls at the end of this gorge. We found
a semi-safe way down, but the only way to see the gorge was to swim for it. The water at the
start is shallow, but drops off quickly into a very deep pool below.
