Occurs: coastal plain, piedmont and mountains
Habitat: savannas, ditches, marshes, other wet habitats
Common in the coastal plain,uncommon in piedmont, and rare in mountains
A very showy wildflower along roadsides, especially in October. When in bloom
it's impossible to miss the sea of yellows in open fields and sunny roadsides.
