tony: do you used 2 filter for this tank? i was never seen you using surface skimmer,how can i keep my tank surface not oily by not using skimmer? what makes this oil in the tank? thanks for you time to answer my question? Yes 2 filter because one was to less for this size. If you install the outflow near the surface, normaly you don't get a oily surface. The oil at this tank was because of the roots I think. After some waterchange they was gone. Best regards, Oliver Knott
