TOA130 + NJP160 + FS-2 + Borg77ED + SXV-M25C

My current primary imaging setup consisting of:
- Takahashi TOA130 refractor, with field flattener in prime focus (130mm, f/7.7, FL = 1000mm)
- Takahashi NJP160 mount with FS-2 drive and custom counterweight shaft and counterweights
- Borg 77ED as guidescope
- Starlight Express SXV-M25C as primary imager
- Starlight Express SXV guide head as autoguider

Mount sits on NJP wooden tripod.

On the left, my "astrotrolley" - a modified computer table where my imaging laptops sits as well as all power supplies and controllers. One cable bundle goes between the trolley and the mount/scope to control CCD, GOTO, autoguide, focus etc.

Hi Pawel.

I am thinking about buying a Starlight Xpress SXVF-M8C CCD camera to use with my Takahashi TOA-130. Are you happy with the combination of the TOA-130 and the SXV-M25C CCD? If used with a Takahashi flattener, would I only need a Takahashi CA35 and Takahashi Wide Mount to T-Thread CCD Adapter [TCD0001] to use the SXVF-M8C camera? Do you really not need dark frames with this camera (as the advertisements indicate)? Any information would be great. Thank you in advance.
