This box was designed to securely handle the EM-200 mount head and - in a separate compartment - selected accessories like handpad, cables, some basic tools etc.
Box was made from 8mm water-resistant plywood. All joints strengthened with 2x2cm wood dovels. Components glued using high-grade water-resistant transparent glue. No screws were necessary! All plywood parts cut with circular saw for clean finish.
Two wheels, two carrying handles (handle opposite the wheels could be used to tow the box), piano hinge and self-locking latches completed the design.
3 coats of clear "marine-grade" polyurethane finish.
This one took a couple of weeks, as there was a lot of iterative cutting, gluing, painting and waiting for glue / paint to dry completely. Actually, the marine finish takes a couple of weeks to really dry but it is than very durable and hard.
During observing sessions, the box also worked as a low stool.
