Eclipse View Or Not?

I went out around 7:15 PM EST tonight and this is what I saw. Fifteen minutes later the Moon was totally gone from my sky. It was sunny all day today. I just knew the weather gods would not be nice to me tonight. The good news is I don't have to stay up and freeze outside tonight.

Oh well the next total lunar eclipse is in 2010. I can wait :-)

8:00 PM update: The Moon is back but very hazy. Now I'll have to keep watching it to see if I get a view or not.

8:45 PM update: It's starting to clear... maybe?

9:00 PM update: It's snowing out now. I'll keep checking but I guess it's not my year to capture this.

:-) The weather usually doesn't cooperate with me either. Here it was clear--but also around -23C. So although I got a few shots I didn't take my time or bracket like I normally would--it was just too darn cold... So I'll be waiting for "next time" as well.

Patti, I wish you were here. We have a very clear sky and I don't have a "big" camera. It's about 2 degrees so I may not go out again later. Thanks for the tip!

Sorry to read this Patti, I know you were looking forward to this event. Maybe things will clear in the next little bit for you. Fingers crossed.
We have clear skies here tonight, and its cccoooold out. My bad news is, I don't have my 400mm and still thumb handicapped.
