We've not in Texas or the Plains

Not what is normally seen around here as I live in a very populated area (~200,000 folks) but as I was out this morning on my way to another location for some images, I saw a small herd of bison on a farm and I had to stop and try for a shot or two. Yes it was snowing a bit.

Great shot of a tough looking Bison.

So you found some buffalo, which I presume were roaming in that pasture. But did you hear a discouraging word?

Nice find. A bit sad though to see them as, what I assume is, as agricultural product.

Well you do live very close to Buffalo.....so ya gotta see at least a few roaming around...lol.

New York style buffalo wings; I see this guy has already been harvested this season.

Yep, we have them here. At least they are being taken care of. Nice find and I think he's watching you!

We had a big herd around here back in the 70s. Not sure what happened to them. Lovely beast.

...and if it was snowing harder you might have seen a white buffalo! :-) We did see one about 14 years ago just South of Madison WI, it's name was Miracle and there were a number of American Indians staying with it as they are considered to be a very holy thing with the Indians. Nice eye and capture Patti!

A very impressive beast.

Nice wintery capture! These aren't real popular in urban American!
