Some of the best bands can be found at Hydrahead Records. I like that I can still trust a label to be consistent in quality every now and then. That's the reason I bought my first Pelican CD. The artwort caught my eye and the label gave me the okay I needed to take that risk. Big thanks to both Pelican and Hydrahead. So... what are they like? Let's call it "The Thinking-man's Stoner Metal." Beautifully heavy instrumental metal that makes you want to keep driving because you've entered the "Zone" and you'd rather finish the album than stop it mid-song. Yep. Beautiful.
