While walking through couple of Costa-Rican towns, I was amazed by condition and lack of safety on their electical installations.
Seeing these often wide open power boxes, with 220 Volt wires exposed to elements and within reach of children, I couldn't stop asking myself, how many accidents and fires happen there every year.
I wonder what building inspectors in US would say? Probably nothing, they would faint first.
On the other hand, many of the meters were quite unique, sometimes I felt like seeing different people, not electrical devices.
I know, I should start seeking medical help ;)
Your juice meter collection is fantastic, the captions fit perfectly, I'll never look at a juice meter the same again !

You've captured one of the true perspectives of Costa Rica and made it come alive. Nothing say Tico abode more than a weird and dangerous looking electric meter. What's next, plumbing?

Very funny. Nice idea. I really like the descriptions. Good example how you can do something really interesting from something so prozaic. Keep up good work.
