PHOTO-DESSIN / PHOTO-GRAPHIC / PHOTO-DRAWING / PICTURE-DRAWING
This "machine" or device is actually a "Darkroom / Mask-Holder" portable
using as a photographic extension body housing.
It all started in 1966.
To do as adults at the age of 8, during a craft activity at school (4th grade B)
To make my own "KODAK" body, I had cobbled together a cardboard with a pack of cigarettes
and a roll of empty toilet paper. WOW! Now here I am in the race ;-).
Later, in 1970 when I was 12, having received the gift of a
"Kodak Instamatic 126 Flash-cube with film casette"
so I create my own photography props with little means
(₵ / $ = 0) but a lot of imagination (A + B & x / y =?>!) ...
With a container of "Map-0-Spread" previously empty (that is less messy), I made
my own "Hood / Filter Holder" rough it goes without saying. At 12 years I'm almost a pro.
Then came the urge to compose photographs in hand, like, create ghost characters,
simulate lightning and stars in the sky, insert models dising etc ...
So I created my own device a mini portable box "Darkroom / Mask-Holder".
The PHOTOGRAPHISME machine was born!
The first that I created was crafted using a cardboard box. 1970
The second was carried out using two desk drawers juxtaposed one on the other,
including an inverted, forming a box, which then becomes a darkroom. 1972
The third, more elaborate, was built using wood, metal and plastic (ABS).
It has four interconnecting rooms, one with mobile bellows, all separated by mask holder.
The last room at the front end (outer side) receives the glass filters and masks
16 inches by 13 inches, and the inner side receives mock frames.
Cranks allow left-right adjustments and height. 1978
