Hamburg City Hall is the seat of the Hamburg Parliament and Senate. Built between 1886 and 1897 in the Neo-Renaissance style, the building is known for its magnificent architecture and 647 rooms—more than Buckingham Palace.
The current Hamburg City Hall was designed by a collective of nine architects known as the Rathausbaumeisterbund (Rathaus Building Association). The leading figure and most prominent architect of this association was Martin Haller.
