The Black Shop Bar is an iconic pub located on the N70 (Ring of Kerry) in the village of Castlecove, County Kerry.
The current building is over 400 years old. Although the building has a long history, it has likely only been operated as a pub for just over half a century.
The pub is so defining for the location that the Irish name of the village of Castlecove has officially become An Siopa Dubh ("The Black Shop"). On historical Ordnance Survey maps from the period 1897–1913, the village was even simply referred to as "Blackshop". It is known as a traditional, "old school" Irish pub without television, where the focus is on conversation, the local community, and occasional traditional music sessions.
In front of the pub stands an old petrol pump that still forms a recognizable part of the streetscape.
