Film: Scanning and profiling Film, scanning, the issues with Vuescan or the simplistic NikonScan, profiling with targets, all this appear now so distant, so insignificant. Digital photography clearly changed the way we do photography. It is much easier now to achieve good results. Foremost in high ISO! Here modern sensors beat film to a pulp, and the progress is not over yet. However, our legacy is preserved on celluloid and it ages as it always did. On occasion we have to deal with the blast from the past... |
