Black Belt: Photographs Across Mississippi and Alabama

This is a group of photographs taken across the Black Belt, stretching across central Mississippi and Alabama--in this case from Natchez and Vicksburg on the Mississippi River, eastward to Meridian and on across Alabama--including the towns of Demopolis, Greensboro, Newbern, Marion, Sprott, Selma, Boykin (Gee's Bend), Prattville, Pink Lily, and the cities of Montgomery and Birmingham. The heat was intense, the light blazing. I will be adding many more images to this gallery in the next few days.
