Calculations indicated the Left Mitten shadow would be on top of the Right Mitten on March 30th for 2018, but I went down early to see if it might be cleared out in the day before and the day after the 30th, and along with it the Moon would be 98 or 99% full at that time.
This was the view on March 30th. The shadows were worse today as there were many more clouds across much of the sky. For perhaps 5 minutes near sunset the clouds were still visible, but they still allowed a bit of sunlight through. The shadow was not nearly a well centered, even if the shadow had continued, but the moon was lower, only a few degrees above the horizon.
