Much of the day of November 07 was clear, predictions were for clouds for the eclipse on the morning of 08. I was prepared to travel if need be for a state or two, but the weather satellites indicated a lot of clouds streaming from the southwest. I would need to go out of town to have a good horizon to see most of the eclipse, except for the last penumbral eclipse. I did this at 1:00 am local and arrived at the site and set up my equipment by the start of the penumbral eclipse. There was just a whisper of cloud nearing the Moon at that time. I started taking some images, but not long after clouds moved in, but there were gaps and the clouds were at times thin enough to shoot some images..

I tried taking I,ages hoping to get some of the orange shadow but the clouds tried to prevent this. Here are some of the images I did manage to get. A sizable hole opened up and I tried taking long duration exposures to capture it, just after 2nd contact. The last pic I did was 60-seconds long, and after that the clouds became totally opaque, so I packed up and called it quits.
