Boy was I happy when I got this shot.
The hummers were very obliging, returning every 5 minutes or so, so that
I could try a few different settings. I finally nailed the speed and aperture
and pre-focus (manual everything here), and this was one "pose" that I
like best with the wings back.

Tends to nest in the same tree or bush year after year.

Male metallic green, with rose-red gorget; green crown; broad tail with little rufous.
