The Tide Is High

Kill Devil Hills, NC

It can be difficult to show
the power and size of a wave
with a static image. Not so sure
I succeeded with this one, taken
early morning nearing high tide.

You succeeded very well. That poor bird looks as thought it will be crushed. Good camera work to get this effect. V

Glad you mentioned that....I really get a sense of it now.
Oui.....love it!

Very nice comp, Bonnie. I like how you positioned the bird and the POV to give this a sense of scale.

What an exciting surf. Cute little sandpiper too.
He is dwarfed by the waves but I bet he knows when to run back to high ground.

It is almost exactly what I was about to say when I read your description. So yes, indeed you did succeed. Voted
