Peru - Amazon River

This is a photo essay about my visit to the Amazon River in October 1986.
The Amazon River runs over 4000 miles (over 6400 km) through a tropical rain forest.
It runs almost across South America from Peru throughout Brazil
At its widest point, the Amazon River is over 40 miles (over 64 km) wide! These pictures were scanned from slides.
