20070810 - Experimental failure

Went out too late tonigt, but didn't miss much. So, ended up in the scary woods and had a go at 'painting with light'.
Not having a cable release means I'm limited to 30 seconds, so it was all a bit frantic and I didn't really know what I was doing, where I was going, or anything!

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
30s f/7.1 at 17.0mm iso100, tripod, no cable release - hmph. full exif

I rather like the "searchlight" in the distance, as if you've been rumbled trying to escape from East Germany! You'll never know what you can do until you try!

First time I've seen "no cable release - hmph" as part of the exif data....LOL! It's actually a great first effort. A little work with the cloning tool and you could clear up the flare outs. I'm going to give the light painting a go tonight myself.
