A jib is a small sail at the front of the sailboat.
It's attached to the headstay with its hanks, its head mounted on its halyard.
Here, it was not raised yet, as we were just getting out of the port, under auxiliary power.
The red ball is a racing channel marker. You can see the smaller boats racing at the distance.
