The rectangular windows in the center of the picture were the projectionists booth

There were two windows and a small viewing window for the 2 projectors that were in the theatre when it was built. They needed 2 seperate projectors because the projectionist would be loading up the next real for the movie onto one machine while the other would be showing the film and he would be swapping between the two machines to do the days show.

The demolition team said that they could not find any indication that the projectors were still there, not safe to climb into the structure, and when they did pull down the booth pn 12-12-06 there were no indications of the old machines or other items used in a projection booth ie. Editing machines, splicing machines, etc and I believe that I was told by a person a day after the fire who had worked in the building in the late 80's that they had removed the equipment back then.
