This shot shows the 49mm threaded ring which attaches to the eyepiece with set screws.
A seperate ring was used so that rings of other diameter could be utilized for different cameras.
The rubber eyeguard was removed and approximately 18mm of the eyepiece tube top was parted off with a lathe.
A circular groove was then cut on the outside edge to hold the set screws that were tapped into the adapter ring.
