06-FEB-2008 Petesie Lee

Oklahoma

Oh the last goodbye's the hardest one to say.
This is where the cowboy rides away.

In Loving Memory of Max L. Nelson
Devoted husband of my best friend Joyce
Loving father to T, Todd and Tammy
He touched so many lives and will be remembered with love.
Max was a successful business man....a cowboy...and in his younger days a steer wrestler.
He loved the sport of rodeo.
He will be missed.

This photo was taken at the cemetery as Max was laid to rest....his boots in the stirrups.

Very touching Petesie and a fitting send off for an old cowboy. I know he's missed.

Very touching, Petesie. I have been away until now & just catching up so my belated sympathy is coming your way on the loss of your dear friend.

When I saw the thumbnail, I knew someone had left us. It is a Cowboy tradition to saddle up the horse with some article of clothing of the one that has passed on. My deep heartfelt prayers go out to the family and to you as well. He's riding Stallions in Heaven now and waiting for the rest of us to meet him up there.

A very touching photo, Petesie. The lighting on the horses manes is nice. Please accept my sympathies and extend them to your friend and her family.
