My plan was to use the tree as a frame for a photo of the mocking bird...
Oops, forgot to change the settings so the DOF wasn't what I wanted.
Live and learn, hopefully.

Very nice shot. The out-of-focus frame works just fine, and in some cases (as here), is probably less distracting from the main subject than a really sharp foreground might be.
